City of Bristol Swimming Club (CoB), based in south Bristol, is recruiting for a highly motivated swimming coach to work primarily with our County and Regional Development squads. The ideal candidate will hold an ASA Level 2 Swimming Coach qualification or Swim England Swimming Coach certificate, however, training and mentoring may be provided for the right candidate who holds a swim teaching qualification.

Her segment was bringing the baton onto the Hoe promenade where she got a military guard of honour and salute as she gave the baton to royal marine veteran and triple amputee Mark Ormrod MBE

The South West Regional Development Programme will run from September 2022 to August 2023. This year we will be holding two face to face camps and one online camp for 12 yr olds in the Region. We were delighted to have received a high number, and high standard of applications which has meant that it has been a difficult decision to appoint for the roles on the programme.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, Swim England facilitated the return of training for technical officials by temporarily waiving the requirement for trainees to attend various levels of meet until 31st March 2022. It remains both desirable and necessary that trainee officials across the board gain their poolside experience at the broadest possible range of events. With this in mind trainee officials who are members of Swim England affiliated clubs will now again be encouraged to gain poolside experiences across all levels of meets.

Following discussions between the Chair of the SLG and the Chairs of your respective groups, it has been agreed that the temporary relaxation on the number and level of qualification of officials required for licensed meets will end as planned on 10th March 2022. This was the intention outlined in the document currently on the website and so any organisers of meets after this date should have been aware of the likelihood.
