Bookings are now being taken for a unique conference which will give swimming coaches across the country the chance to learn innovative techniques.
The two-day NxT Generation Home Nations Coaching Conference takes place at Lancashire County Cricket Club’s Old Trafford ground on Friday 16 and Saturday 17 November.
A wide range of speakers from the across the country will be attending the event, which will give coaches who work within each of the home nations’ national talent pathways the opportunity to share ideas ahead of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games and the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games.
Jo Jones, Swim England’s coach development manager, said: “In the ever-changing world of competitive swimming, this two-day conference will provide a unique opportunity to focus on innovative approaches and techniques.
“Our wide range of speakers will discuss the challenges of supporting athletes to transition from youth to senior success. This includes physical, environmental and social aspect, with contributions from both pathway managers, coaches, and sport scientists.
“It’s an essential conference, that’s been jointly organised by the home nations and supported by British Swimming, which will impact on every area of your athletes’ development.”
