Lisa Osman of Tigersharks Swimming Club has received the award of Regional Volunteer of the Month for February.
Lisa is the Senior Administrator for the club.
She has worked enthusiastically and passionately, as a volunteer for the club for over 7 years and is now the Senior Administrator for the Club. She does this as well as looking after her family of 2 children and working part-time.
She assists the Head Coach, Committee members and Squad admins in the organisations of all the Tigersharks Open Meets (approx 5 per year) and Fund raising events.
She organised a swimming training camp for 25 of our Senior swimmers to go to Barcelona for the week. She organised the flights, hotel, insurance and pool time as well organising a fun programme of day trips and activities for the swimmers.
She is always calm under pressure and on hand to help everyone with problems big and small. She gets every last detail of an event planned with meticulous precision.
She has organised 2 'parent-free' week-end galas away with this year for groups of swimmers competing at Level 1 meets. Again she booked the transport and Hotel, organised the meals and was Team Manager to the swimmers for both week-ends.
I have even seen Lisa at a number of galas this year where she didn't have any of her own children competing to ensure everything ran smoothly.
Lisa is the 'go-to' person in the Club with any problem big or small. She works tirelessly in the background to get the job done and is completely dedicated to the success of Tigersharks and it's swimmers.
Congratulations Lisa on your achievements.
