The World Para Swimming Allianz Championships took place the 9th – 15th September, which was not only the World Championships but also a key qualifier for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics. The event was held at the London Aquatics Centre, which saw 600 swimmers from around 60 different countries compete across various events.
Great Britain took 24 swimmers and achieved a close second behind Italy on the medal table overall, winning 19 Golds, 14 Silvers and 14 Bronze Medals. The South West Region had swimmers who made a large impact on the overall total of medals won.
