Para Training Day - 23rd February

Regional Training is a key stage of the Para-Swimming pathway. The South West region are once again offering all Para-Swimmers a regional training opportunity on Sunday 23rd February at Mount Kelly Swim Centre, consisting of a land training session, covering key aspects of Pre and Post-pool work, followed by a pool session covering key aquatic skills. This opportunity is open to all swimmers within the South West region with a classification (S1 – S15 & S64), or on the waiting list for classification.

The session will once again, be led by ex-Paralympian and Regional Lead Coach: David Hill who brings a wealth of experience as an athlete and coach.

Swimmers should bring swimming costumes, pool training equipment such as floats that they use. Clothing, suitable for gym based activity as well as all drinks, snacks required as these will not be available at the venue.

Car parking will be available on site but more details will be available before the day.

The cost will be £10 and can be made by BACS payments or cheque.

The day is suitable for all swimmers wishing to develop their competitive skills and move along the Para-swimming pathway. It will outline and deliver some of the key messages and skills associated with national talent programmes and will be especially beneficial for those swimmers looking to compete at the National Junior Para-Swimming Championships.
