Qualifications: Experienced Coach (Level 2 qualification), willing to work towards their Senior Coach / Level 3 qualification. Or an existing Senior Coach / Level 3 Coach.
Location: Marlborough, Wiltshire
Employment: 15-17 hours per week dependent on the needs of the Club, including coaching and admin time. Attendance at Meets will be in addition to this. Offered on a self-employed basis.

Marlborough Penguins is looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious individual to deliver and build on our successful swimming programme, as well as be lead performance coach for the clubs’ top swimmers. With over 130 academy, development and squad swimmers and over 80 LTS swimmers, MPASC is an inclusive club that supports all our members to achieve their goals in a fun and progressive environment. Our competitive swimmers compete at County, Regional and National level and our teams take part in local league competitions. Although a competitive club we also actively encourage non-competitive swimmers to be part of our Club.
It is essential that the successful candidate will be able to motivate and inspire swimmers of all ages and abilities. The Club has an emphasis on skills, technique and a focus on progressive sessions. The role requires someone who has a working knowledge of the Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) programme and Optimal Athlete Development Framework (OADF), a positive enthusiasm and a natural communication style with swimmers and parents. They will recognise each swimmer as an individual, and be innovative and highly motivated in their approach, to see each swimmer achieve their goals / potential. The Head Coach will support and lead our team of volunteer coaches and will partner with the committee to ensure the Club continues to thrive.
