An exciting opportunity has risen for a new part time head coach to join Dursley Dolphins swimming club. We are a small and friendly swimming club with big aspirations. We compete in Cotswold League galas, open meets in the region, and county competitions.
The head coach key role is supporting the club ethos to encourage children and young people at all levels of ability, and achievement to enjoy and benefit from swimming. Historically, the club has been run by a team of experienced and dedicated volunteers. There is now potential for a motivated head coach to professionalise the Club and take it to the next level. The position will require providing leadership to swimmers, coaches, volunteers and parents to facilitate swimmers reach their full potential
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, management skills and the ability to positively inspire confidence and motivate the swimmers to the best that they can be. The ideal candidate will hold a Level 2 coaching qualification. We will also consider applications from someone who holds a Level 2 teaching certificate and has some experience working within a competitive club environment and are willing to complete a coaching qualification.
The working hours and salary can be negotiated but will include evening training sessions, attendance at weekend competitions as well as necessary administration.
Training takes place at Wycliffe preparatory school, Stonehouse and The Pulse, Dursley.
