Another Successful Coaching Course from Team Bath AS

While Somerset County Championships were in full swing, Team Bath AS was also helping Swim England South West and the Institute of Swimming run a Swim England Coaching Swimming Assistant course from it’s training base at the University of Bath.

During the course which ran from Friday 31st January to Sunday 2nd February, Tutor Steve Greenfield led the face to face sessions of the blended learning course for 14 candidates from across the Region, including two Team Bath AS trainees - Jude Roberts and Isaac Grothier.

Team Bath AS swimmers from the Performance and Academy FINISH squad were led through their training sessions by the learners whilst their teammates were away competing at Somerset County Championships.

Team Bath AS would like to thank coaches, Chris Alderton, Liam Willcox and Mike Muckelt for fitting regular training around the requirements of the course and allowing both swimmers and trainee coaches to flourish. Thanks also to Trowbridge ASC for sending their swimmers to train during the Sunday course session.

Team Bath AS is an Institute of Swimming approved Training Centre and runs courses to support the continued development and training of coaches and volunteers for the benefit of aquatics clubs and their swimmers.
