Swim England has published its comprehensive Returning to the Pool guidance.
The five detailed documents include robust recommendations ahead of the Government giving the green light for a return to the water following the coronavirus pandemic.
Free 'Teaching in a Covid-19 Environment' Webinars
In partnership with Swim England, we have created a series of free webinars for swimming teachers following the publication of Swim England’s Returning to the Pool guidance.
The sessions will help teachers implement the guidance and detail how to work within the guidelines.
Teaching from Poolside
Develop your understanding of how to apply the government guidance, effective positioning, how to support assistants teachers, and safety considerations for the delivery of swimming lesson from poolside.
Effective Communication
Develop your understanding of how to effectively communicate with participants and assistant teachers when applying the government's guidance on social distancing.
Teaching in Deep Water
Understand how to follow social distancing guidance by utilising your pool space and adapting your teaching to effectively teach in deep water while ensuring your lessons are safe, fun and engaging.
If you can't make any of these sessions don't worry!
An on-demand e-learning module is being created for those who would like to access the training at any time and go through the content at their own pace.
This will be available from mid-July and include a downloadable certificate.
When it launches we will be adding the e-learning to the Members Online Learning Hub so all members can access it with ease and refer back to the content.
