The first Team Bath AS Age Group Development Clinic held on Sunday 24 February was a complete Sell Out with swimmers from 10 Clubs across Somerset and Wiltshire coming together to enhance training with a unique Program designed to benefit both swimmers and parents.
A Nutrition Workshop entitled 'Eat like a Champion' was presented by Sport Nutrition and Physiology expert Eva Piatrikova. This was followed by a pool based session in the University of Bath 50m Legacy Pool focusing on skills and technique run by the Team Bath AS dedicated Development Coach, Liam Willcox.
“Feedback has been extremely positive,” says Team Bath AS Volunteer Training & Development Officer, Karen Bowen who organised the Clinic. “It was great to see lots of concentration, smiling faces and for swimmers from different Clubs to have the chance to make new friends from across the Region. We are
planning to run further sessions like this over the coming months.”
Tweeting about the experience attendee Sarah Watts said: ‘@Team Bath AS Great Morning at Age Group Development camp. Some fab tips for Megan to implement.’
Team Bath AS would like to thank everyone who helped organise and run the event especially Kay Willcox, Head Coach at Norton Radstock Swimming Club who was poolside during the session to share her vast knowledge of swimming.
