Jill Beard

President

Jill has been involved in supporting swimming activity since 1990. She began as a timekeeper when her daughter was swimming and progressed to becoming a Referee in 2000.

After being her Club Chairman she became Dorset County President in 1996. Her passion is the training of new officials which began with her County and then in 2008 with the Region.

Jill is currently the Regional Officials Training and Development Coordinator. In recognition for her work on poolside and the training of officials, she received The Swim England National Awards Gold Winner as “Technical Official of the year“ in November 2023.

During her presidential year she hopes to attend as many events as possible from all facets to support the swimmers, coaches and volunteers across the Region. She also wishes to continue to encourage and support all the technical officials who make competition possible.
