Have you considered the alternative ways in which you could consider gaining an ASA qualification?

There are a number of ways in which you can obtain an ASA qualification these include attending a tutor-led course, blended learning (online learning followed by a tutor-led course) or via an assessment only method called RPL. RPL is “A method of assessment that considers whether a learner can demonstrate that they can meet the assessment requirements for a unit through knowledge, understanding or skills they already posses and do not need to develop through a course of learning”.

There have been recent changes to the RPL process to allow a more flexible way to enable candidates to be assessed within our online portfolio system/pebblepad. With the introduction of a new online Electronic Document (E-DO) this will enable candidates to fully understand and equip themselves with knowledge of the RPL process and the necessary requirements. The E-DO in itself aims to enable prospective candidates to in effect self screen their suitability prior to applying for RPL. It is strongly recommend all candidates should undertake the E-DO and take time to understand the process and ensure they feel confident that they can meet the prerequisites required.

The Electronic Document (E-DO) can be found here.

If you feel that you have volunteers/teachers/coaches who could be a suitable candidate for RPL and wish to book on, please follow the steps on the above link.
